This was produced while I was a student, the goal was to take a commonly found item from the grocery store and create a beautiful packaging solution. This product was repositioned as a luxurious brand of pure Honey, more of a novelty than a household item.

4203 Mulberry Street

For a bit of fun, I created a hypothetical client to play with. Inspired by some pretty images I found on the internet: 4203 Mulberry Street was born. With fictional flagship locations in Seattle, Austin & Boston, this is the hip new place for coffee connoisseurs and winos features gourmet-yet-accessible cuisine and conversation… each with a restaurant, cafe and bar. Maxine Helfman is a phenomenal photographer based out of Dallas, Texas. Her ability to shoot in camera using only natural light is as unique as it is stunning. This is a lookbook for a hypothetical fashion house/boutique inspired by her name.

Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet

My latest work in progress: I’m redesigning Ranier Maria Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet. Since I first read them about 6 years ago, I’ve been trying to find a beautiful copy—both in translation and in design, to no avail. So I’m publishing my own version to give as gifts to friends and family. A sidenote: the design is still in the early stages.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. The weather is perfect and clean and crisp. Everyone is looking forward to the holiday season. Curling up by the fire with a favorite book and a cup of coffee. Friends. Family. Pie. What’s not to love?

This year, I decided to send a little love to the people I’m thankful for (to give thanks). I produced 50 cards, each with a different hand-drawn illustration of the word “Thanks” on the front, and a note on the back. Check out a few of them:
